Over the past few weeks, thousands of votes were cast for several of Michigan’s most popular state parks. All of the state parks are a wonderful place to visit and we are fortunate to have these places open to the public. This year it was Tawas Point State Park that came out on top of the voting beating out Tahquamenon Falls State Park. Thank you to everyone who voted. It was a lot of fun and we will do it again next year.

Time for the Championship matchup between Tawas Point and Tahquamenon Falls State Parks. Over 5000 votes were cast in the past few weeks and these two made it through all the rounds to the final poll. I have been to both parks many times and they are some of my favorites and it looks like yours too.

I thought it would be fun to find out what everyones favorite Michigan State Park is in this unofficial March Madness style poll. I took the list of state parks, recreations areas and scenic sites from the DNR list and grouped them into 16 different regions.
